Happy New Year and welcome back! We hope you had a joyful, restful Winter Break filled with special moments, laughter, and time with loved ones. We are so excited to welcome our returning students back to Little Axe Elementary as well as our new families joining us and begin the new year together.

As we return to school, our staff is ready to support students as they reconnect with routines, friendships, and learning. The start of a new year is a wonderful opportunity for fresh goals, positive habits, and continued growth both academically and socially.

Please help your child ease back into the school routine by ensuring they get plenty of rest, arrive on time each morning, and come prepared to learn. We appreciate your continued partnership and support, which play such an important role in your child’s success.

Start Time: Our school day starts promptly at 8:35 AM. Please make sure your child arrives on time, ready to learn and engage in the day’s activities.

If you are needing to make changes to your student's transportation for the day, please make sure to email Tori Drake at tori.drake@littleaxeps.org before 1:00 PM.

Before break students got to make wreaths in Outdoor Education to take home for the holidays. All materials were gathered from students during their hikes!

Second semester conferences will be here before we know it! Our scheduled Parent/Teacher conferences are for January 29th and February 5th from 4:30 to 7:30. Teachers have sent home paper copies for sign up times as well as posted on ClassDojo pages for sign ups. Please pick a time for your conference ASAP as slots fill up quickly. We hope to see you out for conferences!

Fourth grade students in Mrs. White's class are diving into a novel this semester! They have started reading "Hatchet" and have many activities planned for the book!

Drop off will begin at 8:05 AM and Pick Up will begin at 3:55 PM

We ask that you stay in your car in order for the line to move as quickly and safely as possible. A staff member will signal when to unload your students in the morning. During dismissal, a staff member will walk your student to your car. If you are needing a tag, please contact the front office so we can get a tag for you. Please have your car tag visible during dismissal. Once your student enters the car, take your tag down to signal your car is loaded.

Do not let students off in the parking lot! This is a huge safety concern.

If families have a prearranged meeting with staff, they should check in at the front office before proceeding to their meeting.
