Good morning, all! It was another great week at LAE despite all the sickness going around! Our custodial crew is currently sanitizing our school in hopes to decrease the chances of catching the bug that is going around. Hopefully this sickness goes away quickly and we can all return back to school and have some fun! Today will be a remote learning day for all our students. Please check in with your students teacher or teachers to see what they need to accomplish for today. If you have any questions do not hesitate to reach out to your kiddos teacher on their classroom communication method. We kicked off a new positive behavior challenge this week and it has gone GREAT! Check out our positive referral recipients in the gallery at the bottom of this newsletter. This has been an exciting challenge and the students are PUMPED!

The 100th day of school and Kindness week are coming up! We are going to celebrate with some dress up days!

Talent Show tryouts are this week! Students can try out during their grade level lunches. Permission slips to try out are required.

Second semester parent/teacher conferences are approaching quickly! Conference nights are February 20th and February 27th from 4:30 to 7:30. Your students teacher will be sending information home soon, if they haven't already, to schedule conferences. We hope you can attend and hear all the great things about your student!

February is a busy month! We have many activities through out the month. Please check the calendar below for all the upcoming events!

This week started a new challenge at LAE for our students! We kicked off the 100 positive office referral challenge! Students are tasked with earning positive referrals for displaying outstanding behavior and following our Little Axe Citizenship commitments of being safe, respectful, responsible and ready to learn. When a student receives a positive referral they receive a phone call home to share the good news and get to hang their referral on a number of their choice on our 100 board. Once we reach 100 referrals, we will have a drawing and select 10 random numbers. Whichever students positive referral is on the numbers drawn get to attend a bowling and pizza party!
