Happiness is a chocolate bar away...

October is here, which means it is time for the fall carnival! This is one of the most fun nights of the year. Hopefully you will join us from 5:00 to 7:00 tonight for some fun and games! Tickets can be purchased for .25 cents at the door if you haven't already gotten your tickets. Tomorrow will be our first October remote learning day. We will have another remote learning day on October 10th. Please make sure your student completes their remote learning work assignments from their teachers and turns the assignments in on the following Monday. If you have any questions or need assistance with the remote learning work, please contact your students teacher. We will see everyone back on Monday for another great week at LAE! jasmine

We love recognizing students who go above and beyond! This week, 5th grade student Jasmine displayed some extraordinary citizenship. Jasmine and her family have been planning an online auction event to raise money to help some of her classmates attend Camp Classen. Jasmine's event raised $682!!! She donated all this money to our Camp Classen account to cover the costs for camp fees. She was recognized with a positive referral and two free kid's meals to Texas Roadhouse! Way to go, Jasmine!

ClassDojo Point Challenge!

This month we are challenging our students to earn 3,500 ClassDojo schoolwide points! Our school wide points are as follows:

  • Being Safe +1 point

  • Being Responsible +1 point

  • Being Respectful +1 point

  • Ready to Learn +1 point

Students can earn these points from ANY adult in the building. Last month, students earned 3,133 points. We set the goal for 3,500 and if students reach this school goal, all grade levels will have a GLOW DANCE PARTY! This party will be on October 30th if we meet the goal.

Encourage your students to follow our citizenship commitments and earn as many points as possible!
