Welcome to this year’s first edition of "The LAMS Ledger"! We are excited to kick off the new school year with a newsletter informing you about school news, upcoming events, and student achievements. This year promises to be full of opportunities for growth and learning, and we look forward to partnering with you to make it a great success. A Few Important Reminders:

• Middle School Success Tip: As students settle into the new school year, it’s essential to help them develop strong organizational habits. Encourage your child to use planners or digital tools to keep track of assignments, projects, and tests. Staying organized early on will set them up for success throughout the year.

• Upcoming Events: Be sure to mark your calendars for the exciting events happening this August! The first day of school is on August 7th, followed by our first Remote Friday and Back to Waterbash on August 15th. Don't miss Open House on August 19th!

Stay Connected: We encourage you to stay engaged with school happenings through our communication channels, including the newsletter, push notifications via the Sylogist app, and social media. Let’s keep the lines of communication open as we move through these last few weeks of school.

Day of Champions

This summer, the Absentee Shawnee Tribe and Absentee Shawnee Health hosted their annual "Day of Champions" camp at our campus. Many of our students participated, engaging in various activities that promoted physical fitness, sports, and teamwork.

Below are some snapshots capturing the excitement and camaraderie of the event.

Highlight: Tips for time management, study skills, and organization.

• Create a Dedicated Study Space: Set up a quiet, clutter-free area at home specifically for homework and studying. This space should have all the necessary supplies, such as pencils, notebooks, and a good light source.

• Set a Fixed Schedule: Determine a specific time each day for homework and studying. Consistency is key, so try to stick to this schedule even on weekends. This helps create a habit and makes it easier for students to focus.
