Principal's Message

May:

Middle School Families,

As we approach the end of the school year, we’re gearing up for summer! This month, we’re focusing on Summer Readiness & Enrichment, helping students prepare for a safe, fun, and enriching break. From summer reading programs to skill-building activities, there’s plenty to look forward to!

Activities to Explore:

Create a Summer Bucket List Sit down with your child to brainstorm a list of fun and educational activities to enjoy during the break. Include outdoor adventures, creative projects, skill-building activities like cooking or gardening, and social opportunities like playdates and local events.

  • Summer Camps: Look for camps that align with your child’s interests, from sports to arts and sciences.
Volunteer Opportunities: Encourage your child to get involved and give back to the community.

  • Summer Reading Programs: Keep your child’s mind engaged with local library programs and reading challenges.

  • Community Resources: Explore volunteer opportunities and find ways to contribute to local events.

A Few Important Reminders:

  • Attendance Matters: As we near the end of the year, please continue to ensure your child arrives on time and ready to engage in their learning each day. Consistent attendance is key for finishing the year strong.

  • Upcoming Events: Mark your calendars for May 10th, 13th, and 15th! We’ve got exciting events lined up: the 8th Grade Semi-Formal Dance, Awards Assemblies, Athletic Banquet, and our Spring Fling—perfect ways to celebrate the end of the school year in style!

Stay Connected: We encourage you to stay engaged with school happenings through our communication channels, including the newsletter, push notifications via the Sylogist app, and social media. Let’s keep the lines of communication open as we move through these last few weeks of school.

Thank you for your continued support. We’re looking forward to making the final stretch of the school year memorable for all As we say goodbye to another school year, let’s celebrate the friendships and memories made!

Sincerely,
Principal Mike Bread
